HESTA appoints Natalie Kelly as Chief Financial Officer
HESTA is delighted to announce Natalie Kelly has joined the Fund’s Executive team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With over 20 years of diverse experience spanning the finance, healthcare and government sectors, Ms Kelly was today appointed permanently to the role after serving as the $82 billion industry super fund’s Acting CFO since early March 2024.
HESTA CEO Debby Blakey said Ms Kelly’s wealth of knowledge and senior leadership experience will support the Fund to continue delivering exceptional results for members.
“Natalie has already made an incredible contribution as Acting CFO and, after an extensive selection process, I’m thrilled to welcome her permanently to HESTA’s Executive team,” Ms Blakey said.
“Her track record and skill in delivering strong commercial results, developing financial strategy, driving innovation, and building talented teams will undoubtedly contribute to improving the financial wellbeing of our one million-plus members.”
Ms Kelly will be responsible for managing financial and accounting processes, legal and compliance, tax and project execution.
Prior to joining HESTA, Ms Kelly most recently held senior positions with Medibank Private and Bupa and has extensive experience across the areas of financial management, business operations, people leadership and strategy. Ms Kelly is also a Board Director at St Andrew's Private Hospital and a long-time supporter of MS Angels, which supports multiple sclerosis research.
Ms Kelly said she is honoured to have been appointed CFO and is keen to continue using her skills and experience to contribute significantly to the Executive leadership of the Fund and to support the delivery of excellent financial outcomes for members.
“My time as Acting Chief Financial Officer at HESTA has given me a deep appreciation of everything our members do to look after the health and wellbeing of Australians. I’m excited to join the HESTA Executive Team and to continue supporting HESTA in delivering strong performance for members over the long term,” Ms Kelly said.
