Who is eligible?
Nominated teams must be currently working in either aged care, allied health, community services or disability services in Australia. Suitable nominees are those that go above and beyond the everyday demands of their role.
Nominees may self-nominate, however self-nominations must be supported by a supervisor, manager, CEO, owner or employer.
Nominations must demonstrate all of the following:
- Who is in the team and how each member of the team contributes to its success
- How the team identified the need to improve the product, service, process, or system and how it has been developed or improved
- Evidence of how the team’s work has had a positive impact on individuals, families and/or communities in one or more of the following areas, and how it is being measured:
- Diversity and Inclusion (initiatives to include minorities, eliminate discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, etc).
- Gender equality (i.e. initiatives to understand and address gender biases, eliminate discrimination on the basis of gender, removal of barriers to the participation of women in the workforce, access to leadership roles).
- Good Health and Wellbeing (initiatives to measure and meaningfully improve health outcomes).
- Sustainable Cities and Communities (i.e. recycling and waste management, efficient use of resources).
- Sector-wide partnerships (i.e. knowledge sharing that helps address any of the above areas).
- How the prize money will be used for team development or to further develop the product, service, process, or system
