What is 'net benefit'?
The net benefit is your investment earnings, after any fees, costs and taxes have been taken out.
It shows what returns you've earned on your super — and it's calculated based on historical returns.

The table shows the super balance over 5, 10 and 15 years to 30 June 2024, based on a $50,000 starting balance and employer contributions, assuming they started with a $50,000 annual salary.
Comparisons modelled by SuperRatings for HESTA. The outcome shows the average difference in ‘net benefit’, a measure of past investment earnings after administration fees, investment fees and costs and taxes have been taken out. The results compare the HESTA Balanced Growth super investment option and comparable balanced options, for historical periods to 30 June 2024. HESTA MySuper – Balanced Growth option was known as the HESTA Industry Super Plan – Balanced Growth option prior to 1 July 2013.
